BLACKTAIL

Descripción
"BlackTail, the second New York bar of Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, is tropical, decadent and typically daring. After The Dead Rabbit, people knew to look closer before labelling BlackTail a Cuban bar. It’s much more complex a concept – it’s an homage to the BlackTail planes that took socialites from New York to the American bars of Havana during Prohibition. If a bar’s aim is to capture the mood of escapism, this is the perfect theme, and in execution of decor, drinks and feel, BlackTail is detail-perfect. Ascend the stairs at Pier A (where the seaplanes would take off) and you are whisked into a world of live jazz, dark woods and classic Cuban cocktails courtesy of Jesse Vida. The menu is an opus exploring the Cuban Revolution through the eyes of women. That it features introductions from the daughters of Che Guevara and Raul Castro goes some way to demonstrate how deep Muldoon and McGarry go to create the most immersive of guest experiences. "
